Dear Mr. Chairman, dear friend!
As my office as the President of the European Parliament approaches its completion, let me avail of the opportunity and express my gratitude to you for the active cooperation that has been established since your being elected Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
I sincerely believe in the importance of my official visit to Ukraine in April. I express my gratitude to you for the opportunity of delivering a speech at the Parliament. I do hope that my address served as a useful contribution into the development of our parliamentary relations.
The European Parliament will always support the Ukrainian nation in their fight for liberty and democracy. I sincerely hope that Ukraine and its political leaders will manage to overcome numerous political and economic challenges. Unbiased, democratic and comprehensive implementation of ambitious reforms is necessary not only for Ukraine, but also for the enhancement of relations between Ukraine and the European Union.
